I seldom contact tech support. You know why. But I was trying to back up my "cloud" data after I was spooked by a server outage and Thunderbird was unable to connect successfully to ATT Yahoo!. Being a Linux user I didn't expect to find information directly addressing my system but didn't expect that I'd have to lie about my OS to get to the server settings.
