YOU need Bruce Perens' help.

And he needs yours.

Help Protect Open Source software.

You may not realize it but your way of life on the web is based on the concepts of Open Source software and community. The hardware and communication software development of the internet was funded with your tax dollars (by ARPA) and the software that drives the web has been substantially developed by a community of dedicated "hobbiests" (regardless of their actual vocation). The premier organizations responsible for certifying Open Source licenses, the Open Source
Initiative
is holding executive board elections. You can hear Bruce describe his position on open source and the OSI in this recent interview on The Linux Link Tech Show. Or just go to sign the petition. Ok, I'll give you the short story. Its important to have a vendor neutral forum for the development and management of Open Source licenses. The OSI started out as that forum but has become more vendor dominated. This is an opportunity to place a vendor neutral member on the OSI board.

It won't take dollars, and very little time.
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION.
