As Twitter is hobbling along for yet another week, I've begun to question why it is taking so long to bring back the functionality that had been running for months. So I sketched out a diagram of what I thought twitter was providing. Well, a couple actually. I'm posting them here for discussion, suggestions and possibly some community design.
To start, Twitter collects 140 character messages from a number of sources. Twitter threads the incoming streams onto a single thread ordered by time.
