Ok, this entry is a bit off-track, but the day was terrible.

Interesting start to my day - a sign of real progress? After my shower, I was able to dry my foot by lifting it up
Another day. Considering that I am driving the knee to more normal walking movements, the soreness being similar to before the procedure might be expected. Did some yard work today. 10 minutes on the bike and stretching. I'm beginning to believe that there may be a couple of weeks in this general state while I rebuild some muscle. Time will tell.
Another day of comparative soreness. I'm finding it hard to tell if I'm as sore as I was before the procedure since I had modified my activities and gait. Now I am pushing to regain fuller use. Based on entering and exiting cars, since this is the same activity before and now I'm guessing the stiffness/soreness is similar. I am definitely walking better than I was.
Major activity for the day:
Ready for a good night's sleep.
Ok. Its later. Well really tomorrow (so to speak). I was pretty sore today. By 3p all I wanted to do was ice the knee (which of course, I can't since the inflamation response is advantageous for cell growth). I therefore finished out the day and sort of crawled home.
Yesterday I forgot to mention the stretching that we did for PT. It actually helped with my ability to walk with a full (ok sort of full gait). I am forcing my self to walk with a full heal-toe-knee bend and am working on using both legs on stairs, both up and down. Hopefully this isn't too aggressive.
I started to think after last night's post that tbere isn't much to say.
This morning was the first day in a while that showed a drop in knee circumference. After a lot of walking today, Much discomfort. It actually feels a better after a bit of rest. Exhaustion wins - so off to bed. PT Tomorrow.
Getting up this morning was a bit easier as there was less discomfort in moving my legs and rolling over. Getting into the car seemed a bit more difficult though. As the day went on my legs were more fatigued. I guess the PT was a workout. I added a photo of the knee here on day 18 post-op for the curious.
A couple of hours after arriving at work, I began to feel the burn.
Just returned from first PT. Assessment was 105 degree of bend in left leg.
